“Find your flow. Make your play.” – Yogidao

The purpose of this website is to help you grow as an acrobat and conscious human being.  This includes guiding you to discover and accept your own greatness; inspiring you to feel more motivated, energized, and passionate; helping you shed dis-empowering beliefs and take action; teaching you self empowerment through acrobatics; and encouraging you to pass that knowledge forward — so you can continue to grow and thrive in your play.

You aren’t here to struggle and suffer. You’re here to play, to give and receive love, and to be happy. It will take time, but this site can certainly help you get there, and the vast majority of resources here are free.
This site will help you make conscious decisions in your personal development journey as well as your decisions as a yogi acrobat. This means having the maturity to take 100% responsibility for your growth and safety. It requires taking a deep look at yourself, consciously deciding what kind of person you truly are on the inside, and then getting your external reality to be congruent with your inner being. The goal is to help you achieve outstanding effectiveness while maintaining internal balance, where your poses, transitions, and sequences are all working together to create a flow.

Personalized acro is hard work. It takes time, consistency, and patience. If you’re looking for someone to spoon feed you acro, this isn’t the right place for you. This site is designed for people who are serious about acrobatics and personal growth and who are willing to put in the time.

This site will help you learn to live more consciously, to summon the courage to face the unfaceable parts of your life, and to solve the deep problems you’ve not yet been able to solve and all through play!  You’ll learn practical ideas to make important changes in your life, both big and small, so you can get your life on track and start living and playing up to your potential.

This site can’t teach you to be perfect. Perfection isn’t the point. The point is for you to get yourself onto a path of practical, positive growth. It’s very likely that this site will be of tremendous assistance to you on your path.
The main themes of this site are:
⦁    Courage: Summon the inner strength to take action in spite of fear
⦁    Love: Improve your ability to connect with yourself and others
⦁    Power: Build your motivation and discipline to create the life you desire
⦁    Self Determination: Take command of your life, and learn to make clear decisions
⦁    Intelligence: Live authentically, and express your genuine creativity
⦁    Spirituality: Raise your awareness and live more consciously

Where to Begin?
This site contains enough free material to fill up several dozen workshops.  Don’t let that overwhelm you though because no matter where you begin, it will only take a few clicks to find something of value to you. If you find a photo or video that interests you, feel free to save it for later.

Be sure to bookmark this site, so you can return to it again and again. Many visitors begin their days by spending 15-30 minutes here and report that it helps them become more focused, motivated, and confident by being able to visualize their acro goals and clarify their next action.

  1. Beginners Safety and Conditioning – A great place to begin is with the Beginners Safety and Conditioning Playlist.  This set of tutorials will give you an overview of Yogidao’s recommended Safe Practice Principles — by challenging flyers and bases to take personal responsibility for their own safety and the safety or their partner.  You’ll definitely want to bookmark it for later if you don’t have time to watch them now (or if you’re like me and need to fall a few times before you realize the importance of safety).
  2. Gif Galleries – Browse the Beginners, Intermediate, and Advanced Galleries for hundreds of possible Acro Yoga moves in gif form.  See in motion how many different ways you can transition from Bird, Throne, Whale, and lots more.  This section is all about visualizing all the possibilities.
  3. Free Tutorials – If you enjoy learning through video lessons, check out the free Beginners, Intermediate, and Advanced Tutorials.  An easy-to-use interface allows you to watch all of the lessons directly through your web browser. You can also download the video files and watch them later on your computer or mobile device.
  4. Connect with Dao on Facebook – If you are having difficulty or want help with a particular pose, transition, or washing machine,  send me a message! Hundreds of people are already fans because my focus is on being as helpful as I can.  Your questions help me to be a better teacher so it’s a win/win.
